It was a beautiful day! Luke and I went early with Ben to save seats in the grass for our family, which was not an easy task but we managed to maintain a small section. With a record number of graduates, we weren't too excited about sitting through the entire 3 hour ceremony. Ben didn't believe me that he wouldn't be the only one leaving early (once again, I was right!) So we decided he should take Luke on stage with him so it didn't look so bad when he left immediately after walking across the stage. As Ben's college started to get up to walk, I took Luke over to Ben and made it back to my camera just in time to get a few pictures! Everyone loved seeing Ben walk across the stage holding Luke! They even made it into the local newspaper! After graduation we had a nice BBQ at Ben's parent's home. It was an awesome day! The feeling of freedom was short lived as Ben started his first graduate level class on Monday. But December 2012 we'll be celebrating graduation again, "Real Graduation" as Ben calls it, when he gets his Masters Degree :)
