10 Months!

It's getting increasingly hard to get a picture of Ian because he just won't sit still!  But with great effort from all three of us (including Luke) we got this cheesy, toothy grin :)

Unofficial Stats
Weight: 20lbs

We took this picture right after Ian's bath, so I combed his hair down a bit.  That is the only reason it is somewhat "calm."  His hair is getting a bit lighter in color.  Whether that is from playing outside or its thinning out as his head continues to grow or maybe he's turning into a blondie like his brother...we'll have to wait and see!

Ian loves to eat!  Have I said that before?!  He is willing to eat anything and I think he's starting to get bored with baby food...he's seeming to want more texture.  Of course this worries me, especially with no teeth.  But he's started eating real bananas, strawberries, watermelon, baby goldfish and cereal bars.  Thanks to Luke leaving his snacks within Ian's reach, he's also had an M&M and Cookie Crisp cereal.  Oh well!  He still breast feeds 4 times a day.  I've never been able to feed him a bottle but he takes it from Ben.  He'll be one before I know it and I'm sure we'll keep nursing for awhile...not until he's 4 or anything like that.  I really appreciate and cherish the times while Ian nurses and remains still for a few minutes :)

Ian loves his binkie, hence why it is attached to him most of the time!  But there are 3 things for which Ian will quickly spit the binkie out.  Those are: breastfeeding, shaved ice and brushing teeth!  We gave Ben a shaved ice machine for Father's Day and even though he kind of broke it the first time he used it, he's figured out how to still make perfect shaved ice with it!  Of course, Luke loves mooching off Daddy's shaved ice.  One evening while I was working, Ben decided to share with Ian too and instantly we had what we call "A Crack Baby!"  Ian LOVES shaved ice!  As soon as Ben starts up the machine, Ian is at his feet begging for it.  And if Ben doesn't feed it to him fast enough, Ian will start yelling at him.  It's pretty funny and very ironic!  When Luke was this age, I gave him a few drops of cherry 7-up and Ben yelled at me saying I was making him "a crack baby!"  And yet, here we are with #2, downing at least 1/3 of a bowl of shaved ice!  We also started brushing those pearly white teeth this month and Ian loves it!  He probably needs it with all the shaved ice he eats.

He stands up next to everything, which is scary because some it these things are unstable and/or have wheels.  But he's fearless!  He's just trying to figure out how to cruise along the couch and coffee table.

The previous month Ian was saying "Mum" all the time.  Now its "Dada!"  Even when I try to get him to say "Mama," he giggles and says "Dada."  It makes Ben happy!

It was kind of hot for a few days, so the boys spent the evenings in their diapers

One night, this was the only way both boys were happy...on Mommy's lap
